Drummond Hill Trail Run – the perfect opening race for the Aberfeldy Multi-Sport Festival – 16th, 17th and 18th August 2024

Fancy a trail race with a difference? One which finishes with a barbecue and beers? Look no further than our own Drummond Hill Trail Run which we have moved to Friday 16th August at 6pm.

With a barbecue provided by MacDonald Brothers butchers of Aberfeldy, and beer from local brewery, Wasted Degrees, you can enjoy the scenic 10km trail run around Drummond Hill and Kenmore before arriving back at Kenmore Recreation Ground to the delicious aroma of burgers and beer.

The trail race is our same “proper” trail race, taking in the lung busting climb up Drummond Hill, enjoying some spectacular scenery before beginning the descent to the banks of the River Tay and finishing in the picturesque village of Kenmore.

We really want to introduce a more festival feel to Aberfeldy Multi-Sport Festival this year, so we thought what better way to do that than to have everyone start the weekend in style with locally produced burgers and beer after the trail race.

The trail race is one of three events over the weekend which includes the Go Swim Loch Tay event on Saturday 17th August that takes place at Taymouth Marina and the Aberfeldy Middle Distance Triathlon on Sunday 18th August, also starting at Taymouth marina before finishing at Wade Park in Aberfeldy. The triathlon is the proud host of the 2024 Triathlon Scotland Middle Distance Championships.

Richard, our Event Director said: “The Friday night festivities are open to all participants of the multi-sport weekend. Registration for Go Swim Loch Tay will be open on Friday night at Kenmore Recreation Ground for participants to register early and make for an easier start on Saturday morning. So come along and join in the fun by cheering home the trail runners and pick up a burger and beer.”
