From Registration to Finish Line: Your Aberfeldy Triathlon Weekend Rundown

The Aberfeldy Triathlon requires good logistical planning to get you to the start line as prepared and focused on your challenge as best you can be. Don’t be put off by the thought of split transitions and several different venues; we have put together a detailed guide to help you navigate your way across the event weekend.

You have got the training plan in place, the “enter now” button has been pressed so what next? We recommend you create a plan for the weekend including: sort your travel arrangements, book your accommodation, check out where to eat and make a table booking, particularly for that all important pre-race evening meal. Most importantly know where you need to be, to do what and when.

A simple bullet point plan:

Saturday

  • Register in Aberfeldy
  • Go to a race briefing in Aberfeldy
  • Drop your Run Kit Bag off in T2 in Aberfeldy

Sunday

  • Drive to car park in Kenmore
  • Rack my Bike in Transition 1 in Kenmore
  • Go to swim Start at Taymouth Marina in Kenmore
  • Finish Swim on Kenmore Beach
  • Leave T1 in Kenmore on Bike
  • Rack Bike in T2 Aberfeldy
  • Run
  • Finish Run in Aberfeldy
  • If your car is still in Kenmore, get the free shuttle bus from the Finish back to Kenmore Car Park

Detailed Itinerary

Saturday 16 August

On Saturday before the race, you are required to Register and pick up your race packs, attend a mandatory race briefing and drop your run kit off at T2. There is no Bike racking on Saturday.

You will be given a LOMO dry bag for your run kit at Registration so make sure you register first before you go to Run Kit Bag drop at Transition 2
